Nearby Stars Query By list Home

This interface allows users to query the Nstars database for
Astrometric, Photometric, Spectral, and other Derived Data
available from the Nstars project at Appalachian State University
and returns a formatted table of data specific to the needs of the user.

This area is still considered to be unstable, considering how new it is.

and I will be more than happy to help - even if I have to do the query manually.

Follow the instructions to generate data:

STEP 1: specify starlist file:

choose a local file listing stars to be queried. Then hit "Send".

The file should have one starname per line - followed immediately by a newline char.
Hipparcos catalog names are prefered (and query will take less time), but other catalogs are supported.
Any star listed in the file that is not found in the Database will be left out of the search and
noted at the end of the result
